Where Smoobu processes personal data on our behalf, this processing is carried out on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Direct Bookings and Booking Enquiries via Smoobu Our website incorporates the Smoobu booking and reservation system. This allows you, in particular, to view the availability and prices of our accommodation and to make booking enquiries and direct bookings. 5. Booking Confirmations, Invoices and Guest Communication via Smoobu Communication relating to bookings is primarily handled via the Smoobu messaging system. In particular, we use this system to send booking confirmations, information regarding arrival and your stay, organisational information concerning the accommodation, invoices and responses to messages from our guests. The personal data required for this communication is processed. This may include, in particular, your name, contact details, booking information and the content of the respective communication. Where the communication relates to entering into or performing an accommodation contract, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
6. Payment by Bank Transfer Following a direct booking, you will receive a booking confirmation. The invoice is prepared by us and sent to you via the Smoobu messaging system. Payment is made prior to arrival by bank transfer to the bank account stated on the invoice. We currently do not use an external payment service provider such as PayPal or Stripe to process payments directly through our website. In connection with a bank transfer, the data required to process the payment is processed by the financial institutions involved. The payment information received by us is processed for the performance of the accommodation contract pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and, where statutory retention obligations apply, pursuant to Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

When Google services are used, processing of personal data outside the European Union or European Economic Area cannot be completely excluded. Any such data transfers are subject to the requirements of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.

According to information provided by Smoobu, the location widget used for location searches accesses the HERE database. The purpose of this function is to display the location of our accommodation and make it easier for you to find and locate the properties. When the map function is provided or used, technically necessary data, in particular your IP address and technical connection data, may be processed. Where information is stored on or accessed from your device in connection with the map function, the permissibility of such access is governed by Section 25 TDDDG. Any further processing of personal data is governed by the applicable provisions of the GDPR.
11. Google Fonts Our website uses Google Fonts to ensure the consistent display of fonts. According to the current configuration of our website, the Google Fonts used are hosted locally. Therefore, simply visiting our website does not result in a connection to Google servers due to the use of these locally hosted fonts.
